The Department of Art will host Family Art Night from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, for young people ages 5-17. Participants will learn about the current exhibits in the galleries from an interpretive art guide before creating a take-home art project of their own.
The art projects for the evening have been designed by a team of art education students and will reflect the content and materials used by the professional artists whose work is on display in the galleries.
Family Art Night is free and open to the public. Children 8 and under should be accompanied by an adult.
